Does one exist?

What I'm looking for is:
- decent graphics.
- some sort of progressive campaign where I earn money and improve my car.
- a good game.

Actually struggling to find one these days. Last good one I played was Need For Speed: Underground 2.

Seriously. I'd also be very interested in this. Recent Need for Speed games have really be disappointing for me.

I think Project CARS looks interesting, but it almost seems like they dropped PC support and are focusing more on consoles. Assetto Corsa is another intriguing PC racing sim, but it's still Early Access-- don't know how you feel about that.

It's a crying shame that consoles are getting all the big racing titles.

What's wrong with Most Wanted and Carbon? You're not struggling to find a good racer because you're being a fusspot are you?

Also, I think a few recent games might have disappeared due to requiring GFWL. I was going to recommend FUEL, but noticed it not on Steam, then remembered it having GFWL.

You could wait a while for The Crew.

There's also Shift 2 Unleashed, which is okay.

I'm a Forza fan so my view is horribly bias at this point.

Yes. Though admittedly not recent. I think the series is supposed to have gone bad after Carbon, although I only own Most Wanted (the one before Carbon) and Carbon. Carbon gives you wingmen, who are mostly a bit gimmicky, but you can ignore them and just race. You might find the canyon races and possibly the drifting to be rather hair pulling though.
