Me and a friend of mine enjoy two player vs. games.

We're rather competitive. We enjoy card games, and we're preferably looking for something less taxing on our modest computers.

We've played;

Duelyst, Magic the Gathering, Yomi, Interplanetary, Path to Exile, and a few other games. We're not limited to TCGs, but they are handy as a genre considering our limited processing power.

Can anyone recommend a good 2 player competitive game that has reasonably fast outcomes? Thanks~

Good evening!

I do not know what your PC specifications are like, but would they run Unreal Tournament 2004? You can play a deathmatch 1 VS 1, and you can adjust the score limit to reflect the amount of time you would like to spend in the match.

Additionally, Street Fighter is available for PC and can be good for a quick fight or two. I am not sure what the specifications are to run the game, though.

Finally, my personal favourite is Heroes of Might and Magic IV. While the games take significantly longer, you can play head to head in a very in-depth strategy game. You can also save at any time and resume play later, in case you are only able to play for a short period of time.

Thread relocated to the GD forum, because it's slightly more gaming-related and would probably get more answers there.

If you want to stick with cards (well, cards-ish) and don't mind something a bit more strategy focused, GMT's released the digital edition of Twilight Struggle.
