So I found a box with my PS2 and all my games in my closet, and thought "what the heck, let me hook this up for old time's sake." Played through all my Jak and Daxter games, as well as the original Ratchet and Clank, Shadow the Hedgehog, and Psychonauts.

Needless to say, Nostalgia ripped me a new one (what did you say to me?!)

So fellow Escapists, my platforming fire has been re-awakened, and I NEED GAMES! Suggestions! Recommendations! Rave Reviews! All is game!

(And yes I have Comic Jumper and 'Splosion Man off the market place. They were great but too short.)

The only thing that resembles a plat-former in my xbox collection is crackdown. Really a brilliant game, your character has great jumping prowess , meaning that you'll spend a lot of time scaling buildings and chucking assorted objects at whoever walks below. Be sure to get the first though, the second was an inferior rehash.

I've heard Limbo is a good game. I saw some gameplay on YouTube and I like the black and white, gloomy aesthetics.

There was a Zero Punctuation review of that and Deathspank that was made a while back ...

Sounds kind of like Prototype in terms of navigation.

I'll check it out though.
