Didn't someone make a thread about this like 20minutes an hour ago? It's only about 6 spaces below this one.

Pretty much this. I see no difference.

By the way, you can set in the preferences whether Google begins searching the very moment you start typing or whether it shows your latest queries.

ugh...

Really... hitting enter was too difficult for people?

Yes, this is exactly what the internet needs.

Howabout instead of adding on some useless trinket to make people even lazier, why not figure out a way for google and search engines in general to stop listing results for pages that havent existed in years?

Go to www.google.com/instant and click on "Try this". This is definitely a new feature that Google just launched today.

Yeah, hasn't this been a feature on Google for... months? In fact I can't remember a time when it didn't have this feature. How is this news?

If it doesn't work, it's due to your browser, when i try to follow the link, it says that google instant is not avalible for my browser (dunno what i'm using, i'm at work) and that i should update my browser.

Google Instant is starting to roll-out to users on Google domains in the US, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Russia who use the following browsers: Chrome v5/6, Firefox v3, Safari v5 for Mac and Internet Explorer v8.
I'm fron germany, but I use Opera. That explains it. Wait, let me try it with Firefox...

A-hah!
But I find it too distracting. I don't like it. :/

Admittedly a cool little idea, but having random lists of pages pop up as I type things can get a bit obnoxious

Yes, noticed it today. Totally awesome.

For those who think this has been for some time, you might be confused with the auto-fill thingy. It's that, just more awesome.

What we're talking about is whilst you are searching, say; "why is there" you'll see "fuzz on a tennis ball" 'added' to the search, and if you look down, google has already searched for "why is there fuzz on a tennis ball", and if you continue, e.g. "why is there an" it will close the results, and continue to guess, which would be "an estate tax" and show the according results.

So, instead of just auto-filling your query, and giving you the option to search for that particular suggestion, you actually see the results of the proposed searches in real time.
