No, a huge hit on google's DIGNITY. What are they doing making deals with a morally dubious company? For fucking shame.
It's all about the money, Google doesn't really care whether the Zynga is morally dubious or not, all they care about is a profit.
If all they cared about was a profit, they wouldn't give extra money to lesbian/gay couples because they can't marry. Trust me, Google cares about its appearance.
Exactly appearances. While Google maintains it's good appearance, the actual Google company are made of the most greedy minds ever to roam the earth. They beat Microsoft and Apple in the Greed-O-Meter.

Farmville's old news, pretty much everyone on my friends list has switched to Frontierville. No, I haven't played it yet, but judging by the amount of spam they are sending my way it appears to be the next "big thing".

I'm just waiting for the rivers of blood and swarms of locusts now. I guess we will know it is the apocalypse when Activision announce [anything here]Ville Hero.

Hopefully someone will kill all employees of Scamga and erase the data for all of their scams, then we can all go back to hating Activision and waiting for Half Life Episode 3 in peace.

Morally dubious? How so? I've never paid any attention to Zynga or Farmville so I wouldn't have any idea.

One hundred million dollars? Isn't that like the money Google makes a day?

Which is exactly why they're giving money to Zynga. I'm not sure if you've noticed, but it's really only us lot that don't like Zynga. I'm not saying we're wrong, but everyone else loves them. So in this sense, Google's credibility is shooting upward.

What does this teach you, children?

Yes; lying, cheating and stealing are the ways to get on in life. Listening to your customers, providing technical support and anything other than mindless spamming is a waste of time.

Let's all remember that as we burrow happily through the fossil fuels and let them fill up the oceans.

Remember: If it takes time, it takes money.

So long as it forces the scum at Zynga to clean up their act I'm fine with it, but Google should be careful, lay down with dogs wake up with flees.

Google are going to get a return in the short term but there not going to be making money for long.

The whole Ville thing is going to end in a few years, but they'll probably get there money back and more.
You know, there is absolutely no reason to view this as a bad deal for Google. Zynga make ridiculously embarrassing amounts of money. Secondly, Zynga's games appeal to the "I have a smartphone because it's cool" demographic. Google wants that money.

Ergo, stroke of brilliance.

Wow. And here I was thinking Zynga is capable of scamming only the average john and jane doe. A corporation is now on their victim list too. Coming up in the world!

EXACTLY. This has really surprised me. I mean, I HATE zynga and they're dubious almost "scamming" way of earning money. How could you do this Google? T_T

All things considered, this is a good move for both Zynga and Google. I had no idea that Google was getting into the games market, but Farmville and Mafia Wars will give it a good head start. With such a powerful user base to operate off of Google and Zynga can benefit from such a relationship greatly. Thanks for the great article ^~^!

All the more reason I have given up on facebook apart from keeping in touch with my family, thanks to Zynga and their bunch of mediocre games, now that Google have their roots inside the company, expect 10 times the advertising of pointless crap, and a future take over of a worthless company (because everyone will be moving onto the next big thing), like when Google bought Youtube.
