Google is destroying my interwebs!!

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but ever since I got back from vacation (which was last Saturday), I've been having problems with my internet browsers. I've been a longtime Firefox user, and recently I could not visit most of my frequent sites because of this so called "Google analytics" thing.

The webpages would somewhat load up, then flash to a white screen saying, that it was loading something from google analytics at the bottom of the page, but it would never finish and just freeze up there.

I officially had to change my browser over to Google Chrome because it is the only one that doesn't have said problem, and now all of a sudden, my mother's Firefox browser is having that happen to it as well. I've also looked it up a bit, and I'm seeing other people encountering the same problem.

Is this some new bug or virus?? Has anyone else have this occur for them? Is this some massive Google conspiracy to get people to switch over to Chrome? or am I just having some weird acid dream?

Google are slowly taking over the world!

OT: I've used Chrome since its creation and I sometimes use IE for stuff Chrome has trouble loading.

I have never had this problem on either browser and I used IE yesterday.

Whenever I'm on Firefox I never get that kind of trouble. I use Chrome normally anyway, because I think it's much better.

Check what addons you're running. Maybe, JUST maybe, you're running addons that are screwing up your experience.

PS: Remove your entire history, everything, if the above isn't causing the issue.

Analytics track and measure traffic for the site, it's useless to you. I block it through some plug-ins.

It also helps to block all the Facebook sharing scripts, as those can also contribute to hanging pages.

Ahh, I see. I just find it weird that it just randomly start happening now when it hasn't ever been that way ever before. Also, would you mind post up some of the links to those plugins?..it's not that I hate Chrome, I just prefer Firefox

No. The Escapist (or Themis Media) has taken offense before to the use of these plug-ins, so I will not post a link to the Adblock Plus website.

However, nothing is stopping you from searching for it yourself. Possibly through Google
