How did google get owned? Google is simple and it works, it does it's job and it does it well. Yours might do the same if not a bit more but I don't need the more aspect.

You did infact come on and sound more like an advertisement rather than saying "hey this is cool" making it sound like you were saying that it replaces google. It's fine to come on and talk about something but just try to sound less like an ad.

Not very practical, but amusing.
Sigh* its true, after checking a stock, and seeing if it can do calculas. I'm pretty impressed.

Sorry, The reason google is the powerhouse is because of the simplicity.

I asked it.....How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?......the answer? The world may never know. Pure awesomeness.
There was actually a scientific study on that. The average is 142 licks. *I run away before people yell at me for ruining a greta mystery*

It gives some nice concise infomation.

It also lacks the silly blogs and useless unedited infomation found in google

I am quite impressed. At last, internet with some standards and no silly chuck norris facts.

Where are you?
Response:
I live on the Internet.

Are You Skynet?
Result:
No, Skynet became self-aware on August 29, 1997 at 02:14 a.m. U.S. Eastern daylight time. I, on the other hand, was not switched on until May 15, 2009. Furthermore, unlike Skynet, I enjoy interacting with humans in ways that do not involve the launching of nuclear missiles.

LOL

Can you think?
Response:
I am capable of universal computation; that I can say.

I could do this all day

Most of what I see in this thread is a misconceived hate about it (possibly due to the OP).

Wolfram is not a SEARCH ENGINE, it is a DECISION ENGINE. It will not find websites for you, but it will answer questions.

Saying that Wolfram can compete with Google is like saying an expert marksman can compete with an Olympic gymnast, there's no middle ground to test on.

You lucky bastard. Well, for the sake of defending my honour, I will wager Geri's chances in a cage match with the both of them. She'd probably sing them to death (or use magic to exploderate their heads; she is [was] Ginger, after all).

Damn, I'm running out now.

Graham Norton and Hugo Weaving :p
I share mine with Malcolm X
I don't know who that is, so I'm calling it a win for me ;)

Also, for some reason typing in 'you lost' brings you to the page for Mustard Gas. Odd.
Wow, this website shows that I share a birthday with people noone knows about. The closest I got is Canadian priminister William Mackenzie King... Hooray?...

Too late for that party pal. There's a thread like this a coupla months back.

Anyway, Wolfram Alpha must be fed with numerical, or otherwise numerically-expressible data for your search to be interpreted.

Love the comparison. I'm surprised you didn't just say apples and oranges though.
