It might just be me, but every time I google something and click on the link I keep getting redirected to some random website, is this happening to you too?

Are you using internet explorer, because that only seems to happen to me on it. Every other browser Google works fine on.

Probably some kind of spam you've got lodged in your temp files. Google is currently fully functional(on chrome at least).

You may have a virus, I remember awhile ago I had one that did that to me. Along with other things.

I would suggest a Safe Mode Virus Scan. Using McAfee or Malwarebytes. Or some other form of anti-virus software.

Hey blue_devil, I actually just registered right now to answer this, because I had the same thing happen to me. I'm pretty sure what you have is something called the google redirect virus; it changes all of your search results to entirely different websites. You an sometimes cope with this by opening links in different windows or stopping your browser right when it begins to go to the page you want it to. The good news is that the virus you have now won't do too much damage.

The bad news is this is basically the HIV of computer viruses. Almost no anti-virus company has a cure, because the virus will actually change itself once its on your computer. It then takes down all the security software you have, and leaves you vulnerable to a whole bunch of other, more serious infections.

There are ways to fight it off, supposedly, but I spent over a week trying to kill this thing with everything from Kaspersky to Combofix, and all I wound up doing was letting it melt my hard drive and having to pay a bundle for DDR services. My advice is back up all your files and find a local computer-god or take it to Best Buy and let a pro get rid of it. I actually had to buy a new computer in the time it took to fix my old one because I tried dealing with it myself.

Hope that helps you out some, dude. Really sorry to hear it happened to you too. Maybe it something different, but I wouldn't let it sit for too long without really looking into it.

Well the thought of buying a new computer scares the shit out of me, but it seems like the 30 day trial of McAfee got rid of the virus, thankfully
