I've gotten my invite yesterday, and the only person I know on it is my sister. I also follow notch. I've been thinking about inviting all of my friends, but I don't want to spam them.

Yeah, in a sense it's a bit like Facebook. But really it's just a lot cleaner, more functional and better organized. Not to mention it's run by the company that has the most knowledge on... pretty much everything. I've been using it for a few days and I enjoy it, if enough people switch over to it I'll stop using Facebook but for now it is pretty empty as it's still invite only.

The main thing about Google+ is circles, so I figured out how to do circles on facebook and therefore don't need Google+.

It's facebook, but not!

Honestly, I've tried to avoid such things as much as possible, but people all around me keep telling me to do the whole social network stuff... BUT I DON'T CAVE TO PEER PRESSURE!
I said that too, but then I finished high school, and I thought "If I want to keep in touch with anyone but my closest friends, I'm going to have to cave", so I set up an account (and made one of my friends close a fake account under my name that he made because he knew how opposed to facebook I was). I occasionally comment on other people's stuff, don't upload pictures, don't 'like' pages, and only on super-rare occasions do I make a status update. So I use it, rather than letting it use me (an all too common occurence).

OT: I might get one if it catches on, but for the same reason I got facebook: necessity.

Yeah, I'm on Google+. Used it a little. To be fair, the whole point of Social Networking is to socially network, and when almost nobody has a membership, it kind of defeats the purpose. A lot of my friends have started using it, but none of them have forsaken Facebook in favour of it.
Give it time - it has the best chance of any to topple Facebook... but in the end, I think people's laziness in having to switch will win out over their desire for higher quality.
Also, Google+ isn't quite as intuitive, but I'm sure that will change soon enough.

I started a google+ a few days ago, but I don't really use it. I hardly know how to use it. :/ I could say more, but I don't want to.
