Blood, guts and violence. Gotta love it. Who doesn't love a bit of ludicrously unrealistic carnage very now and then? Let's collect our favorite moments of dismemberment, be they hilarious, horrifying, or just flat out gross.

I'll start us off with a classic. Party's over!

Aaah, truly a classic. From that day on, I was a man!

Could zombies actually tear apart a man like that? I'll never know.

EDIT: After a temporary gore-spree of youtube videos, it is suffice to say that I will never, ever open my mouth wide again.

You watched the Mirrors video, didn't you? Definitely falls under the horrifyingly gross category.

Let's wash it away with something a little more upbeat.

Gave me nightmares, but now I just find it hilarious.

The whole movie is just great, but this one little section at 1:18:30. Oh man, just brutal :D

A slightly more serious, darker film though, The Thing. One of my favourite movies. This scene almost made my stomach turn when I first watched it.

Not a big fan of gore stuff myself, but those two movies are really good.

That scene always made me want to eat Spaghetti Bolognese.

I'm surprised nobodies brought up the fatalities from Mortal Kombat yet.

The Cube trilogy has some nice effects

I'm not really a gore junkie, but I love well-done special effects. 'Real' effects are always much cooler than CGI.

Reminds me a lot of the Dishonored trailer, though this came first of course.

a bit of behind the scenes from that. it was filmed in the middle of summer and the intesines, etc used for the body were stored over the weekend in a larger refrigerator.. and the power was off the entire week end in high temperatures.. so that look of horror on the actors face. thats not acting thats him reacting to the smell.. braver man that me thats for sure. still makes me queasy all these years later
Aha that's pretty neat trivia :D. Did you also know that one of his organs is actually a rubber chicken :p? Or something looking incredibly similar to a rubber chicken.

Shock gore -such as most of the stuff mentioned in this thread- does nothing for me. Elegant and creative evisceration is morbidly fascinating though... I love the sight of blood.
