What's the goriest game ever, in your opinion?

Mine is L4D2.

VATS + the corpse explosion thing is pretty gorey. Dead rising also gives a good amount of blood.

Cortex Command? It's pretty bloody ridiculous (ha-ha) when it comes to decapitations.

It may not be the goriest, but it's certainly has ridiculous amounts of violence.

Left 4 Dead 2 is the goriest I've played, but I've gotten used to it after a while. Really I can't think of anything, but maybe I'm desensitized. I mean, I'm wearing a Tokyo Gore Police shirt, just came back from seeing Repo Men, and then played 2 straight hours of Left 4 Dead 2. I guess Prototype was pretty gory, but that was just an evil game.

The newest AVP maybe; I hear they had to tone down some elements like this kill where you hear a spine snap 'like a piece of celery' and you hear the marine's last dying breathes as he gasps for air.

The God of war games I've always stood out as quite gory for me.

When Kratos Ripped off Helios head. I've seen it done before in films and games, but there was just something about the way Kratos did this, that amazed and shocked me.

I haven't played it but I would guess Manhunt 2 based on what I've heard about it.

It's kind of hard to say which is actually the goriest, because there are different "styles" of gore. there is ninja gaiden 2 "blood fountain" style, there is the God of War "intense violence" style which is arguably no more gory per se, but probably more shocking, and others too.

Thats just my two blood-soaked cents anyway.

Prototype comes to mind for me, though I've heard of others that seem worse. Prototype is just the only one I've played for myself.

Yeah Fallout 3 was a lil gory but it could have been worse. GOW is the goriest series I can think of(Also the one with the most boobies).
