What's your opinion on Plastic Beach? How do you think it stacks up compared to their first 2 albums? Also, what's your favorite track (both from Plastic Beach and any they made before)

I honestly was a little dissapointed with Plastic Beach, I liked Demon Days a lot more and Plastic Beach was about on par with their first album IMO, they're all good though.

I love the Gorillaz, but their fictional backstory gets hella confusing.

Favorite tracks:
Plastic Beach- Rhinestone Eyes, followed closely by On Melancholy Hill, and Super Fast Jellyfish is hella catchy
Ever- Rock the House, 19-2000, and Tomorrow Comes Today

I enjoyed it. it's something fun to fall asleep to. superfast jellyfish is most definitely my favorite song on it, but it doesn't compare to either of their previous albums in my book.

Overall it seemed alot less experimental than the first two. I can't decide which one of the first two I liked more,
Gorillaz was a sweet mix of punk guitar and vocals with a great hip-hop beats and funk keyboard

Demon Days took everything that Gorillaz did and branched out even farther. It had awesome pacing, with tracks like the first album starting out(Kids with Guns, O Green World, Last Living Souls) followed by more hip-hoppy tracks like Feel Good Inc, Dirty Harry, November Has Come, All Alone, going into more partyish songs White Light And Dare Final Hitting a Funky, Dubbish Crescendo with Fire Coming Out of a Monkey's Head, Don't Get Lost in Heaven and Demon Days.
(I know I wrote a lot more about DD than Gorillaz but thats just becuase I've listened to it more recently, not that I prefer it.)

Favorite Songs: O Green World, Kids with Guns, Last Living Souls, FUCK IT I LIKE THEM ALL, each one is so unique from the other in style and personnel it makes each one memorable.

It's my favorite so far. It's not as consistently good as Demon Days was, but what works works. The entire first half is absolute genius.

My favorites so far are as follows:
-Welcome to the World of the Plastic Beach
-Rhinestone Eyes
-Superfast Jellyfish
-Empire Ants (the most gracefully beautiful song I've heard in ages)
-On Melancholy Hill

Yeah, overall it's still pretty good, but the second half is a lot less enjoyable than the first half.
