After 8 years I felt it was time to replace my old pc. This new one has: AMD 8 core 4.7ghz, Radeon R9 80 3gb, 16gb ram

I want to find the most graphically intense, card melting pc game out there thats so punishing to my computer it could be considering hardware torture porn.

My last game was Crysis... er the original but its been a while. It looks like Battlefield 4 might be pretty rough, any ideas?

I did a quick check around the net and there are lots of contenders.

The most mentioned were Metro Last Light, CIV V, Supreme Commander and Planetside 2.

Of those, I've personally played CIV V and Supreme Commander.
You have to get the the end-game phase in those to really notice the power usage.

Planetside 2 was mentioned for it's bad optimization and Metro Last Light for it's eye candy.

I would also half-jokingly add Minecraft and Dwarf Fortress ,)

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Oh, I should probably add my specs to give you an estimate of my gaming experience.
4 Cores i7-3770 @ 3.4GHz, Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 4GB RAM, 8GB RAM

I never considered breaking out bad optimized games. I guess I could break open half of Obisoft's collection.
