Gothic 2 and 3 for five bucks!

So yeah, I played the original Gothic way back when and then Gothic 2 when it released, but it was so freaking buggy that I quit after a few hours of trying to play it. So I was going to get it and the third for five bucks from Steam. Anyone played them recently? Is it even worth it? Will I be frustrated for hours just trying to make it work?

I thought it was on sale for 99 Cents for Gothic 2 and Gothic 3 was $1.99.


Well I'll be damned, they changed it. Huh. I suggest you buy them. They're very nice to play. Gothic 3 has had some problems, but I'd wait till they release the expansion along with it. I'm not sure if the expansion in disc form is compatible with Steam's version.

Yeah, you can get 3 for $3.74 or both for $4.99.

Hmm, I'm downloading it now. I won't play it anytime soon because I'm still trying to finish DA:O and then I have Mass Effect 2 still...so yeah, looking to the future on this one. I was just without a real PC for about 7 months and missed a lot of stuff.

Oh! And if you want to play the first Gothic, you can pick it up off of Good Old Games for ten dollars. But only if you want to, it's not necessary in order to enjoy Gothic 2 or 3. You pretty much learn what you need to through Gothic 2.

I hope you enjoy Gothic 2 and 3, though. They were certainly my cup of tea.
