I know their is a way that i can get stuff like GPS information from pics that are taken with an Iphone. How do i do this?

I have tried to google it, but i keep getting links to download stuff, but i am cautious about downloading stuff like that.

Whenever a digital photo is taken, whether it be with a camera phone or digital camera, the phone assigns data tags to the photograph- usually involving camera settings, name of the device, date and time- but also geographical location should the device have GPS functions. Those are called Exif Data.

Go to this [http://regex.info/exif.cgi] page, it will show your pictures' Exif tags.

Are you sure the photo has location data in it?

Then it probably doesn't have location data. Geotagging is usually off by default.

FYI, if you want to remove exif data to protect your privacy before posting your pics online, you can use freewares like BatchPurifier LITE - http://www.digitalconfidence.com/downloads.html or jStrip - http://davidcrowell.com/jstrip/
