to be charged with graffiti do you have to be caught in the act? Its a misdemeanor but can you get arrested after the fact? or do the cops need to see you do it like a speeding ticket?

Eh, most graffiti is stupid looking, but some of it is actually really cool.
And I believe you have to be caught in the act.

The Graffiti designs in Jet Set Radio Future are pretty cool. Plus you can design your own graffiti to use. Mines usually look like pictures from MS Paint but still cool to use in game.

I live in LA which has a lot of graffiti if you look in the right places. I mostly see stupid tags but the art ones I see are really beautiful. I really wish people would use it for artistic uses more than stupid "I'm cool for writing on an arbitrary piece of public property" tags.

Theres a lot of good graffiti in the downtown area of my city, next time I am there I shall take a few pictures. As for myself I made a few tags here and there, but nothing great or special to brag and show. It was just some really basic stuff.
