Oh cool, Grand Turismo Forever.

They'll probably release it after they start not getting money.

Hmmm... I don't know how to take that news. Does that mean the release is imminent or does that mean they're gonna spend another year just adding cars and polishing it?

this smells disturbingly like Duke Nukem Forever.
Polyphony's "duke Nukem Forever" equivelant is more like Gran Turismo 4 (delayed for almost 3 years), or Gran Turismo Mobile (also now called "Gran Tursimo PSP") which was originally supposed to be a launch title for the PSP.... Look how well that went for them, nearly on the berth of a brand new style of PSP it finally may be ready come out. Hopefully, I've been very fucking patient, to the point where I even forgot the game was even still in development.

They're gonna keep it until they're satisfied that the product is as good as it can be.
I realise this but "as good as it can be" is a forever moving goal, new cars are released and tweaked and now with the NASCAR and WRC licenses, if they don't finish soon, they'll have to update all the teams, cars, drivers etc. I think they need to give themselves a cut of point and just say, "right everything else can be added in DLC."
Basically, what I'm saying is that after seeing the Forza III trailer, I want this more and I want it now.

I didn't think so to begin with but I actually think that GT5 could be the game that makes me get a PS3, I loved the originals spent far to many hours trying to perfect racing lines to get the licenses. Hours of tweaking and upgrading and winning.

If they release the slim before christmas I think it's a certainty.

I am tempted now. I've spent some time with the series and wouldn't consider myself a fan but any response like "it's done when it's done" is usually a reassurance of quality and ambition in my eyes (atleast if said by a trustworthy studio like this or Blizzard).

I find it funny how Polyphony is taking their time with polishing up the game and making sure that everything is perfect, yet everyone is making cracks about "Grand Turismo Forever" and "They're lazy".

Yet, with VALVe ('cause they seem to be the hot topic nowadays) everyone perfectly accepts their huge waiting times and delays of their games because it makes them think that they're taking their time to (WHOA, 8 "t" words in a row!) perfect their game.

Personally, I played Grand Turismo 4 and I liked it at first, but I lost interest when I realized that I really knew nothing of cars and it took too long for me to really get into gear (har har, punny) with how the game works. It was good overall though, it makes me wish I didn't sell it.

Grand Turismo 5 looks amazing, both visually and gameplay-wise, so I may pick it up. I haven't played GT:prolouge though so I'll probably check that out before I get this.
