This sounds incredibly dry, lol, I can't imagine how obeying laws in games would be fun, the whole point of gaming is to break laws and do what you've always wanted to do. But I can see how it would clash with the whole theme of GT5.

Yamauchi doesn't appear to be thinking about that game just yet though, as he also mentioned that a "mechanical damage" update will be added to Gran Turismo 5 in the future, along with some sort of "credit" or experience system for online play, so the developer is still hard at work on his just-released baby.
... They still aren't finished?

Didn't they learn anything from Burnout Paradise? Open world map + racing = blaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh give me real tracks back.

sounds a bit test drive unlimited...and i had fun with that game, although what it lacked in handling polish and actual errands being "fun" I'm sure a GT game would be able to handle better. And the component of pimping up houses, cars, your character which is what it sounds like Kazunori is going for. The fine line between realism and boring as shit would have to be tread carefully though. As well as interference of public traffic with street racing, which has been done to death by everything else from the NFS franchise to, well everyone else.
