Man, it's been a while since I've heard Radio Gaga:)

I'll most likely play as Franklin the most (San Andreas is my favourite). Don't like his VA though.

Trevor seems like a less stupid character from SR3. At least GTAV definitely won't be as bad as that piece of shit.

Does anyone know who's the VA for Michael's son? He sounds really familiar.

I think Michael, Franklin, and Trevor are the new Tommy, CJ, and Claude.

People saying that Trevor looks like the kind of character they play as in GTA/sandbox games, that was the point.
Rockstar said they separated the characters so as to not have huge gaps in character continuity.

Like Michael for example is very broadly speaking, trying to do the right thing. It wouldn't make sense for him to turn a police station into a warzone or ramp cars off of bridges and dive out mid flight. So they made Trevor, he is the representation of the player. He can, and will do anything.

And I never realized this, but Micheal and Franklin seem to be throwbacks/nods to Vice City and San Andreas.

Anywho that trailer made me smile, and I really am starting to want this game.

They all looked pretty good and I just want to know if there will be 3 different stories (as need to play through it 3 times to experience the full thing) or will you just be switching between them over the period of the game. If it's been explained I have obviously missed it.

Ok yeah, that was pretty funny. Looks like they made the right choice and are dropping most of the more serious and boring elements of GTAIV and going back to their San Andreas wacky hijinks roots, while also still making it a character driven story.

I can't help but feel like this setup, with the three leads each from wildly different backgrounds, would actually work better as a tv show or something though.

Three main characters and not one woman. Pathetic. One of the reasons that I still have higher hopes for SR4 than this game.

I don't know. It's nice that they're going back to San Andreas, since the last GTA game that was actually fun to play took place there, but I still doubt it... It's been a long time since I found a GTA game fun and interesting.
"Pathetic"? Really? Rockstar don't owe you a female protagonist, nor are you entitled to play as one in a GTA game. And if the gender of the protagonist means that much to you, perhaps you're not seeing the bigger picture.

Interesting that Franklin seems to be in the Grove Street Families (CJ's gang from San Andreas.) I don't particularly need the faux-gangsta nonsense either, but watching him try to get out might still make for an interesting sub-story.
Thank you for mentioning that. I was trying to remember the gang's name. I wonder if Grove Street will appear in the game; it's one of the places I think most people will remember from San Andreas so it'd be nice to get a little piece of nostalgia in this.

Yes, pathetic. They've basically done all of these characters before, but there's never been a female main character. I don't care about the bigger picture here. I'm not seeing much that can be considered new for GTA, instead we get iteration.
