I saw this briefly before clicking on another topic, but then I spammed the back arrow while thinking 'What the fuck did I just read?'

Seriously, that's pretty fucking disgusting, even if it is a surrogate mother.

Just...bleh...

Wow.

That is going to be one messed up kid. That's really not fair, the mother will likely die while the kid is in its early to mid teens and will be left to deal with a very.. odd.. dad.

They should really consider what they are doing.

I can't even comment on the whole incest thing.. eww.
What is a fair upbringing exactly? I mean, my mum let me do whatever I want, but the past 5 years of my life have been plagued by social services because they "think" me and my brothers were all brought up wrong, and i've been psychologically assessed constantly.

I still think my upbringing was pretty fair to me, because I found out what the world is like.

This kid, with such a relationship will probably grow up with a more open mind than most other kids because of his parents. Which is a great gift.

Incidentally, that was the same thing that happened to me while I was on Yahoo.

Okay, first of all, that's EXACTLY what i thought of, well done, haha.

And second, this thread is, as of the moment I saw the topic, right above "humanity and its future". o_O

I'd offer my opinion but after reading the part about her "Feeling sexually alive for the first time in years" my soul imploded and now I can't feel anything.

and also "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY"

Seriously what the fuck?

This would make a great example of why artificial insemination should be outlawed. (Something I never thought until now)

Yes, I did do my searching. But your topic was "Is loving a family member is such a way, regardless of babies, surrogate or otherwise, considered wrong?" my topic was "Do you think should they be allowed to keep the baby? Or that bringing a child into this world under such conditions in the first place was a morally correcting thing to do?"

However, only half the comments have been related to the actual topic..

Ask your selves; Why is insest wrong? For the purpose of bad breeding, incest is usually frowned upon. However, if there is no breeding involved (well, there is in this case, but they are taking steps not to create an "incest" baby, via artificial insemination/egg donor) then is it still wrong? I personally don't do incest, but it doesn't freak me out. Like a lot of moral ambiguity in modern culture, it's the idea people fear more then the act itself, because they grow up being told it's wrong, like swearing and premarital sex.

I mean, I wouldn't jump into bed with my grandmother, but that's mostly a matter of personal taste.
