Yeah, so I've got this problem with my display driver at the moment so I cannot set my resolution to 1920x1440 and although I haven't tried, no doubt my games won't work either.
Steam was downloading a driver for me and my computer crashed halfway through installing it. When my computer restarted it was on the lowest resolution. I downloaded a big package of drivers and they all installed fine except for the display driver, which failed (wouldn't say why).
I reckon that since my computer crashed whilst it was installing through Steam, when I download it again it thinks it is already installed or something.
Is there any way to fix this other than system restore? My last checkpoint was 3 days ago and I don't want to reinstall all the mods I've downloaded since then.

Edit: Forgot to mention it's AMD. Specifically Radeon HD 4850
