Graphics Card Issues

Hi, for several years I had a ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2. But it is dying. I am currently on hard times, and need a new graphics card because this one has wore out.

I keep getting an AMDKMDAP error trying to play games, in addition to my other problems, even though I have repeatedly cleaned out my drivers using Driver Sweeper and redownloaded my drivers.

Would a ASUS 2GB GDDR5 HD7770-2GD5 be good?

The 7770 is actually a downgrade from what you currently have, at least in games where Crossfire works. The closest current AMD equivalent to the 4870x2 is the Radeon HD 7850. If you can't afford the 7850 or better, and need a replacement right now, then the 7770 will do if you are willing to lose out on some performance.
