I did a quick forum search, so here we go

Well, I'm stubbornly not going to upgrade my original DS to a DSi or a DS lite and I'm looking to expand my game library a bit..
Can anyone recommend any really good GBA games? I'm a big fan of the Hack 'n' Slash type of adventure games and currently have Shining Soul II so anything like that ^^

There was a LoTR: Return of the King game, may be nostalgia taking but I remember it being fun, it was hack n slash or, shoot and slash if you were Legolas.
I loved legolas, just use to stand at a corner of a map, and hammer the *fire* button till they were all dead. :p

Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission are, like all Metroid games, awesome. Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga is a great RPG as well. The 3 Castlevania games are also fun (Circle of the Moon is kinda meh, but the other 2 kick ass).

I'd heartily recommend Kirby: Nightmare In Dreamland, and you can also get the original Doom on GBA.

Great times with that game, me and my brother were pretty high levels so we would link up, get some ring wraiths coming after at see how many we could kill, record was 3 I think, those were tough bastards...

The original DOOM on the GBA? o_O aren't there pretty heavy graphical limitations though?

Nah, well apart from the blood being green, and the occasional lag, not really.

Personally, I was a big fan of the Mega Man Battle Network series. The story was fairly basic at points, but if you survived the steaming pile of shit that was Shining Soul II's story, I don't see that as a problem.

I did indeed play through it. The unskippable cut scenes nearly drove me insane, though, especially since the dialogue was so bad.
