If a man takes a life before hes old enough to understand what he has taken, it cheapens his value for it.

Same as taking a woman, they too will also seem cheap in his eyes.

Well i lost it when i was 15, and i don't think they're cheap... they're bloody expensive!

"In this world, is the destiny of mankind controlled by some transcendental entity or law? Is it like the hand of God hovering above? At least it is true that man has no control, even over his own will"

And of course a song to go with it.

"This is your life and it's ending one minute at a time." ~Narrator.

"You're not your job. You're not how much money you have in the bank. You're not the car you drive. You're not the contents of your wallet. You're not your fucking khakis. You're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world." ~Tyler Durden.

"My God. I haven't been fucked like that since grade school." ~Marla Singer.

And obviously a hell of a lot more from the same movie.

"The future is an inherently good thing. And we move towards it one winter at a time. Things get better one winter at a time. So if you're going to celebrate something this year, have a drink on this: the world is, generally and on balance, a better place to live this year than it was last year."
-Spider Jerusalem

"All people, living or dead, are entirely coincidental."
-Kurt Vonnegut

"Who am I? Just a friend. Sometimes. Maybe. Be seeing you..."

You like that? You like that?

And of course, "some men just want to watch the world burn."

My favorite line is everything that Oscar Wilde has ever said or written. Just... all of it. That man was the master of quips, wit, and dry humor. No one else comes close.

Examples:

"Some cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go."

"Work is the curse of the drinking classes."

"Bigamy is having one wife too many. Monogamy is the same."

"A little sincerity is a dangerous thing, and a great deal of it is absolutely fatal."

"If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they'll kill you."

"The public is wonderfully tolerant. It forgives everything except genius."

"The world is a stage, but the play is badly cast."

I could post about Oscar Wilde all day. He was so awesome that he was played by Stephen Fry. And, you know, was a literary genius. But Stephen Fry. Also, he was writing all of this in the Victorian era.
