Share wish us your favourite games that have new and inspiring ideas and concepts. They may not be really great to play, but their originality seperates them from all other games.

Mine:

Brutal Legend: A game like no other despite it's shortness incorporating metal, stradegy, humour, adventure and of course Jack Black!

Wet: Not the most fun game out last year but with a killer soundtrack and a freedom to kill everyone, this game is a symbol of true originality.

Borderlands: With "concept art" or cell shaded graphics, four interesting character classes and 6 millions guns, Gearbox Software has created something completely new and fun!

Bioshock: To some it may seem to be an extension of the "System Shock" games, but to others it's an underwater super-adventure with psychotic villians, a chilling atmosphere and a plot with a twist sure to keep you intrigued to the end.

I'd throw in Little Big Planet, the range of customisation and tools you can use was brilliant.

Portal and Mirror's Edge come to mind. Mirror's Edge really wasn't anything that great but the whole concept of a game like that deserve it at least a mention in gaming history because of its originality.

Granted it's a game about a zombie outbreak that takes place mostly in a mall, but have you ever placed horse masks on a bunch of zombies, took a picture of it, then ripped out their intestines and blew their heads off with the Mega Buster, all while dressed in a cocktail gown in any other game?

I thought not.

You think Katamari and Wario Ware are fucked up? You ain't seen nothing until you've played this.

A FPS that has one of the most interesting concepts for a story of this generation of gaming.

It also happens to be a huge pile of dung.

Most recently, Borderlands. Shockingly addictive and one of my favourite games of last year.
