Have you ever had some outrageous idea that you never expected to work, but when you tried it, it turns out to be amazing? Happened to my friends and I earlier today, so I was wondering if anything like this has happened to anybody on the Escapist.
What happened with me started out by seeing a simple electical socket in the wall in the middle of a local mall. After I saw this an idea formed, what if we could hold an entire concert using only that socket? So I brought that up to my band at practice yesterday, and we planned a raid. Long story short, we got us and a bunch of our friends to drive over with our equipment, rush into the mall, plug an extension cord hooked up to a big-ass powerstrip into the socket, plug all of our equipment into the powerstrip, and proceed to play. Sound quality wasn't that great because of the rushed set-up, but we managed to set up an eight man ska band with one electrical socket and start playing in under three minutes. We actually got two of our songs off before security(literally) pulled the plug. We were led out by security with a cheering crowd surrounding us. We had our pictures taken and hung up by the entrances labeled "Do not allow on premises"(I was not aware that malls actually did this) and we had to break down our equipment, but other than that we didn't recieve any other punishment. One of the security guards actually told us that what we did was "Fucking amazing." I am proud to say this was one of my greatest experiences ever.

So, now that I got that out of my system has anything like this ever happened to any members of the Escapist? Ever had an extravagant plan like this that worked out perfectly? Share stories...now.
