Sometimes I'm afraid of going to sleep, I have had terrible nightmares for about two years now. Nothing really works to combat it, and I've ripped apart quite a few sheets in my sleep.
That and the aliens in my socks. They're talking...!

Failing at my chosen profession and living out of a cardboard box.
Another fear for me is choosing a profession in the future that I will fail at :S

Going through years of college only to end up a depressed, sexually frustrated wage-slave.

Also, spiders.

Bears and wolves. You can have you deep fears, I'll stick with the one that can eat me.
Bears? Why hello there, Mr. Colbert.

Wolves? Have you ever been close to one before? They're not nearly as terrible as people make them out to be. If you treat them right, that is.

Syringes. It took 2 drill sergeants dragging me to get me through the line to get all those shots when I was in basic.

Actually that was a reference to Mike Birbiglia. The two backdrops to his comedy central presents shows are the aforementioned animals and he does a joke about going on a date and his date mentions her fears and they're all deep and when she asks him he says, "bears". its a lot funnier when he tells it especially since I decided to throw away comedic timing, but it wasn't in reference to Colbert although I do find him hilarious.

Ah, I'm afraid I don't watch much Comedy Central, so I didn't get the joke. Sorry about that.

don't worry, I didn't expect many to get it. He's funny but he is just one of the ones who's name gets overtaken by the numerous comedians of high popularity but dubious talent (Dane Cook, I'm looking at you).
