It's a nice metaphor with the person drawing civilizations with his fingers.

It reminded me of the Civ IV intro, but that is mostly good because of the music.

It is indeed amazing! Though, the combat is kinda mediocre and it'll take awhile to get used to. But the storytelling, characters, and atmosphere are are incredibly excellent. Lovely soundtrack too.

The Witcher 2's prologue is the first that jumps to mind. The entire thing. Just fucking amazing.

However, as far as cinematic goes, I'd say the first Witcher's opening scene takes it. Highly entertaining to watch and it is a great visual re-telling of the scene from the book.
