and personally to me the best game i have ever played was digimon world on playstation one man those were the days if only i could play them now, oh and pokemon blue was amazing on my gameboy colour i had the purple one it was friggin amazing

Like I've said many time before, I have no best game ever. I play many different games for many different reasons. It's impossible for me to determine which one is the best because the genres they belong to have far to many differences.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic; actually, both the first and Sith Lords. Those games are just absolutely amazing.
