I usually notice the snowplows in Ohio, due to their size, giant plow on the front, and blinking lights. I guess adding green lights will help?
Seriously. If you're missing the snowplows, you've got more to worry about than what color the lights are.

I hope this doesn't make its way to Toledo. The stupid ass light on the new bridge already put us millions in debt. Like we need to spend money on some lights that will only get used a few months a year.

Yay Ohio! You gotta admit, the green lights (lanterns?) are much more visible and stand more from the plain yellows. The green light even has more lens flare in the one photograph!

In other news, the UK government (ba dum tish) has launched a new campaign to clean up the nation's busses, they call it...Batman.
seing that law enforcement in the UK dont wield guns, it would obiously follow that they think Batman is an amazing fella (with the whole "never use a gun" thingy)

but thats just me nitpicking :p

Being an Ohioan, that makes me feel... inspired, and... ashamed, simultaneously.

Ohio Represent!

LOL, that is hilarious beyond compare. This is why Ohio rocks.
No, this is why our state is terrible... Come on, 63 crashes? In fucking snowplows?

Seriously, did they have to be that long winded and convoluted about it? Did it really take that long to say "We're putting flashing green lights with sirens on your snowplows, so don't hit them"? Do the writers get paid by the word up there?

As a resident of Ohio, there is no part of this announcement that I do not find hilarious and low-grade awesome - why simply have a new safety measure announcement when you can have a geeky comic-book reference safety measure announcement? That makes everything better.

What did you expect, it's Ohio. We're stuck here, and no one moves here unless they get a job, move for family, or they're from Detroit (that's Cleveland I'm talking about, and as a resident and Blockbuster employee this is actually true), we need SOMETHING to entertain the few of us who might possibly know. And at least they're being clever, creative, and not just copying New York. Take THAT all your NY pricks, and your L.A. jerks, we have creativity budding in our community! We have the Green and Yellow Lanturns protecting our snowplows, what do you have? Besides money, and a large, thriving economy and population...and in the case of LA beaches and warm weather...

Better topic: Elizabeth, how the hell did you manage to get the out of here?

Seriously, what the hell. Are you a wizard? I've been stuck here my whole life. Still, it is cool to see geeky things pop up here and there.

I suppose you do have a point. It should be pretty easy to avoid a snowplow.

But doesn't green mean "go"? Seriously. If you were in a blinding snowstorm and all you could see were green lights, isn't it conceivable that you might think you're at a clear intersection and drive into the back of the plow?
If someone is in a blinding snowstorm and decides it is safe to drive anywhere, they are a retard and deserve what they get.
It's not just people who "decide it is safe" who might be out in a snowstorm. There could be people who are driving because of an emergency of some sort, not to mention emergency responders themselves.
No, Ohio drivers are just tards, I mean, our weather is.. our weather and relatively normal to here, yet, a heavy rain? an icing? a snowfall? yeah the news stations are cutting into shows talking about wrecks. 99.95% of the people out when the snow plows are, are people that have no fear and no driving ability. You should have at least one of the two...
