So I've been reading David Thorne's content on 27b/6 [http://www.27bslash6.com/] for quite some time now and have just recently discovered e-mails from an a**hole [http://www.dontevenreply.com/all.php]. I think this type of correspondence is absolutely hilarious particularly the gullibility of the e-mail recipients.

However, I have a few friends who (surprisingly, to me) do not agree with me... So, what do you guys think? Is griefing by e-mail actually funny? Or is it just childish and stupid?

I can't conceive of the idea. Watch:

Dear Strongbad,

I don't like the way you run your show. You should blah blah blah blah blah, and aaaaaaahhh...DELETED!!

Man, I did that so fast I didn't even get around to who was sending it. I guess I...didn't really care. NEXT SB-EMAIL!!
See? It's too easy to shut down. You get an email full of blah and you just don't care.

Childish and stupid in my books but that goes for trolling in general.

It's none of those things. It's complete cowardice. If no-one has the balls to say to someone "Oi, your a cock for 'x' reason.", then they always resort to the internet where they have time to think, no threat of physical violence and no means of resloving shit like this. Not to mention that everything is so easily mis-interpreted on the web unless your command of language exceeds text speak.

As much as I like the web, I miss the days when there was no such thing as a dating site. You know, where people had to get the 'job' done themselves.
