Grounded

5th grade (9 years old), I got grounded for yelling at a teacher and saying how incredibly an ass of a teacher he was.

Never was grounded. my parents preferred the shout and punch form of discipline plus we live way out into the countryside so there was no where for me to really go. man some of you had/have hard parents beening punished for poor grades?

I was a bit of a 'problem-child' I was shouted at on average 25 times a day by teachers and about 10 by parents/grandparents but I soon learned that a lot of what parents say is empty threats and the worse they can do is tap you and take things away from you and once you were at that stage of trouble it would be easiest to be persistently bad until you got your way since they could do/take no more from you. god I was an evil little shit.

They've recently discovered grounding though for my little sister. she's not allowed to go to certain more dangerous areas of the county unless she gives them the names and numbers of all the people she's with.

She told me that it was because they suspected that it was run by the Triads. When some kid was shot and killed there about a month later, I decided that they were probably right.

Thats horribly disturbing.

I never got grounded.
My dad came from a really conservative family and he hated it so much he swore he would not raise his son like his family raised him. So instead of groundings and spankings he just gives me the worst possible guilt trips about everything.

A lot like Jumplion's case, he just made me feel really bad about myself.

But for the most part I am a good boy, I go to my practices and maintain my 4.0 and honors classes. (not to brag)

My father is like that too. When I did somehting bad, he would speak in a really disturbing tone. I felt so guilty that sometimes I would bang my own head into the wall. Shows why I´m so stupid.
Sometimes he would do both though. Once, when I was in swimming lessons, and I hated it, so I took my shirt off in the balcony so that I would catch a cold. I was caught of course, resulting in the loss of my dear PS2 for the day. I also got some head wounds out of it.

i've been grounded several times, one time it was because i flipped a kid off for no particular reason
