GST Checks (How much?)

I think it's called GST, forgive me if it's not, anyways yesterday I'm in the kitchen and while my mom's doing her taxes (and mine and my brother's) she tells me I can get GST Checks every month (or every couple of month) and I'm just wondering how much a GST check is, or does it vary somehow?


Off topic: I just looked out the window and apparently it's hailing...pretty hard, anyone else ever get crazy weather in months you never thought possible (like snow in June)

Off-Topic - Yes. Texas will throw a wild ball at you every once in a while. I miss Pennsylvania... weather was pretty steady there.

Apparently a GST Check is something you get every couple of months (in Canada) if you're in a low income bracket....so I'm told

I think it varies depending on your situation. I dont know the Canadian system.

It varies. My buddy gets something like 120 dollars and i get 65 or so. Depends on what you paid into the system.

What do you mean by "paid into the system" and how do I "pay into the system" (this is the first time this has happened to me so forgive me that I have no idea)
