I just kinda eat while playng, take tours, taxis, or comedy shows are good times to.
Though if my grandma didn't give me my foods on a silver plater, then I would probably skip a couple of meals too.

Because I'm obsessive and the type to easily get addicted...

And, yeh, maybe OP, maybe you did lose weight because you were too obsessed with GTA4 to eat... in which case, I'd suggest you stop playing for a while...

Jesus, I got bored with the game after like 4 hours. What's with all this creepy obsessive playing? Don't you people have lives outside of your houses?

I'm a master at grab and eat timing. I can take a bit of food and one drink of soda in the time it takes niko to reload.
I can take a nap in the time it takes Call of Duty 4's SAW to reload.

Still, sounds like an odd story. Normally people would gain weight.

I'm living proof that games help you lose weight. At 11 years old I was a genuine couch patato. While being tall for my age (5"11 at the time), I was pretty much obese at 15 stone 10. I'd never been remotely interested in sport, although I did notice when England made the world cup semis in 1990. In 1991 I discovered Sensible Soccer. For the first time in my life I took an interest in sport and started playing football obsessively. I played Real Footy by day and Sensi by night. By 14, I'd hit 13 1/2 stone. By 17 I hit 12 1/2 stone.

At university something went wrong. I left my Amiga at home and bought a PC. It had onboard graphics. I left Sensi behind and stopped playing football. Somewhere in my final uni year I bought a voodoo 3 but it was too late. I was 16 stone and my PC was hopelessly out of date. The next few coulple of years got worse. The weight kept piling on. Around Easter 2003 I bought an Xbox. By summer I'd lost half a stone. My weight kept stable for a while - then in 2004 I built a gaming PC and it gradually came off again. It's been kept up to date ever since with mid to high range components. My gaming has been on-off and the weight has yo-yod at the same time. I put on weight in late 2004. Some would say it has something to do with getting married but coincidentally - I hardly played any games for a few months then.

At my heaviest I hit 19 1/2 stone - then I started gaming regularly again. That was about 2 years ago. Since then I've lost just over a stone and a half and I'm quite muscular with it now (can make the pecs jump and whatnot). So I joined a gym last year, which might have something to do with it. Or maybe it's the games again...

Hmph. Should have planned the first post more carefully. Hey - they wobble too. There's some blubber sitting over the muscle unfortunately.

Now if only Codemasters would release a decent updated version of Sensi, rather than the buggy imitiations we've had.

Some say I introduce myself with too much info...

Not enough info, more like. My first post involved the phrase "balls-to-the-wall mind-fuckery", to quote Yahtzee Crowshaw.

Yes. If you can't see what it is, then in that case stop looking for what it is that it reveals. That's right, I can speak crazytalk.

In my experience, it's common to drop a little weight when you get a fantastic game. You often forget your own needs in favor of the game's. For example, in the Sims, you can be cooking for your Sims and be completely oblivious to your own need to eat as you haven't eaten in hours.
I'd suggest being a little careful, too much weight loss at once can hurt you

Weight loss seems to be fairly common even if people play in moderation.
Maybe people use snacks for some kind of entertainment rather than sustenance, and gaming fills that gap?
Either way getting out of the house and exercising a little has the same effect, so there's still no excuse for sitting around playing games all day.

You know, if anyone invented a PC or console that could run off one's body fat content, well, humanity would probably die out. And it would be awesome!

I've always lost weight from gaming, just cause often I can wait a few more hours till I eat while I run like 12 more forts, ruins, and caves (Oblivion) Counter Strike does the same thing, I eat the suckness that noobs give off lol

So what you're saying is that when you lost weight, you did a lot of exercise and happened to be playing video games at the time, so the reason you slimmed down is because of the video games?

I have a similar story. I lost a lot of weight last year when I joined a gym and did a lot running. I was also wearing a red hat whilst doing this exercise so obviously the reason I lost weight is because I was wearing a hat.

Well, for the first couple of days playing Age of Conan, I was averaging one meal a day, but thats about as bad as it's got for me. Which might be considered pretty bad.
I'm still on one meal a day, although it likely has something to do with hitting my overdraft limit as well as AoC.
