Hey look at that. Another Single player to online player game adaptation with a perfect launch. .... Or not.
I found that if you sink more hours into sleep you look a bit less like a drug addict.Legion said:Well I made my character and then it decided online isn't working. I am not that annoyed, but I do feel that gaming companies are beginning to get rather unreliable. It isn't like they needed to release it today, so if they weren't ready perhaps they ought to have either staggered it or simply waited for a bit longer.
It truly is awful isn't it. The idea behind it is actually kind of cool, but it doesn't work the way they have done it. Characters all look hideous. I just used randomise until I came up with one that was at least bearable.TheHomelessHero said:At least I was able to make my character...in what I find possibly the dumbest and most inconvenient character creator every made ever...but still...
Just repeatedly make sure that you connect to the GTA servers otherwise you can't save your character or get the cutscene/tutorial mission. It'll take time but It'll eventually happen.Kalezian said:hell, I logged on and nothing showed up. Only the Ammunations in Los Santos and the car washes. no missions, no race, no cutscene. It just literally dropped me in front of the Vinewood sign with four other people and we ended up just shooting each other a-la GTA IV free roam.Yoshi4102 said:I'm trying to figure out where this so-called "Race Trigger" is, kinda just sitting at a stoplight doing nothing...
I'm going to wait a while and see if the game get's another update to actually unlock Online instead of only allowing for a Temp character and no saving.
You can launch a private game from the story mode's pause menu. I don't know if this'll work for the tutorial, though, because I didn't think about it until after I shut off my console and now I can't connect back to the cloud.xshadowscreamx said:Still waiting to start the mandatory first race. Waiting for other players (forever).. I would rather be in a private server just so I can past the god damn tutorial
It's more annoying because it impacts your offline game, too.Psychobabble said:Hey look at that. Another Single player to online player game adaptation with a perfect launch. .... Or not.
Yeah, I agree with this.Ryan Minns said:The main thing that keeps pissing me off is "Oh hey look you've failed to connect. How about we throw you into single player so you can enjoy the loading before you can try again?" Rinse and repeat pretty much. I wish it didn't throw me back into single player EVERYTIME. Just tell me it's not working and let me try again or quit
I agree with this as well. The way they do it doesn't make sense.Ryan Minns said:The main thing that keeps pissing me off is "Oh hey look you've failed to connect.
