GtaIV pc help!

I am recieving an error everytime I access the first loading screen, tell me that i do not have sufficient video card memore. I have an nVidea, not sure what specs are, but is there any way to mess with settings so i can set it to lower quality but higher performance?

Just so you know, this is forum games and RP, not gaming discussion. Be sure to post in the right forum. As for your question, I do not use my Laptop for gaming, so I cannot help you.
