I like it. I guess I'm the type of person that finds this type of humor amusing, and it's something I say to people under certain circumstances. And from what I've seen and read, this movie has more than earned the right to have a little bit of an attitude.

Tony Snark to the resc-

Wait, he's not in this one? :(

lol @ the "You're welcome."

Let's hope it turns out to be amazeballs and earn that remark.

I can't tell if the "You're Welcome" is from Marvel, meaning "You're welcome for giving you this movie" or from the Guardians of the Galaxy, meaning "You're welcome for guarding the galaxy." Either way, I'm amused.

The cocky "You're Welcome" at the bottom would feel more appropriate if Guardians of the Galaxy was actually something I had been begging for them to make.

Not that I'm not excited for Hell Boy in space mind you. I just don't recall ever sitting around with my friends going "when are they going to make a fucking Guardians of the Galaxy movie!"

I can't say I blame them for being a bit unsubtle about linking this film to the rest of the Marvel movieverse. In fact I'm surprised the powers that be didn't force them to include a Wolverine Iron Man cameo in the trailer. This is easily the riskiest movie they've done so far, with the potential to either blow the genre expectations of the movieverse wide open... or to be this generation's Howard the Duck.

:slowclap:

Good for them, I hope this movie is good and does well.

Mainly because I'm hoping Miss Pond meets her end in it.

As much as I'm looking forward to this film, this kind of advertising reminds me of something...

Well maybe not that bad... but it did come to mind, which made me shudder.

Well, considering the line from the trailer.

"What a bunch of A-holes"...

The last line of the poster makes sense.

But I think the context of it is lost to the a non trailer watching person.

I mean I'm trying to wrap my head around the cockiness of a fictional group who call themselves the guardians of the galaxy, and the fact that the marketing is apparently self aware of that fact.

This is my favorite article ever for two reasons:

Number 1: It made me aware that there is a Guardians of the Galaxy trailer out which I somehow missed. It may have to do with this rock I've been living under. Said trailer looks amazing and Chris Pratt is rapidly becoming my favorite actor ever.

Number 2:

Prediction: this is going to make a great double feature <a href=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-YZ8WOU1-w>with The Ice Pirates someday.
Someone else in the world remembers The Ice Pirates.

Holy hell, yes.

Thank you Mr. Lincoln. Thank you so very much.

EDIT: Also, I apparently broke 3000 posts. Only took me *looks at watch* 4 years, but screw it, I'm happy.

I'm probably the only one unimpressed by the whole thing. All I see is the same exact blueprint that was used on all the other superhero flicks that not only never bring anything new or interesting, but doesnt even want to. I dont know... in the world of generic movie making I just want something that takes chances and tries to be a bit more profound than bang and boom.
