First of all, Hello! Long time reader/watcher and first time poster on Esc (Pretty much!)

I am looking to build or buy my next PC (Haven't decided which yet) to upgrade my Q6600/8GB/HD5450 (Terrible fan-less, emergency card!)

I'm no newbie to system building, but due to being drowning in development for the last 18months I've kind of fallen behind on my hardware knowledge! Any help would be appreciated here.

I would like this to run most new games at a decent-ish rate (Not bothered about ultra-high settings!) Although the only games I play at the moment are Minecraft and Civ5.

So far I have priced up a build on a popular components retailer with the following:
- Intel Core i5 3570K 3.4GHz 6MB Cache
- Asus P8Z77-V Socket 1155
- G-Skill 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600Mhz (I don't need more than this)
- XFX 750W XXX Edition Modular PSU (Too high watt for what I need?)
- Asus GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB GDDR5 (need guidance on this more than anything)
- Corsair Carbide 300R (Randomly picked)
- Thermaltake Frio Advanced cooler (w/ Arctic Silver 5)

Additional to this the machine will contain my 60GB OCZ SSD from my current machine along with my data drive.

This comes to around £723 after delivery which isn't too bad. Overclockers have a similar system for about £820 after I put a similar card in it - The plus side of the OC machine is that its overclocked to 4.4ghz! - Overkill? Worth it?

My question is, are there any components you would change or suggest? Is the GFX card ok?

Thanks for any assistance on this, really can't decide!

Edit:
Another option is this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-i5-3570k-4-4GHz-Overclocked/dp/B0085M0JGU/ref=pd_sim_sbs_computers_4 £359 which is the same price (give or take) for the same MOBO, CPU but different RAM/Cooler. Plus its OC'd (Apparently this cooler isn't amazing over time for OC systems though)

Well, the GTX 660 ti is supposed to be coming out next week which will effectively 'replace' the 560 ti you're thinking of getting. I was planning on buying a 560 ti for ages but when I heard the 660 ti was coming soon I decided I'd much rather wait and get the new one.

Besides that, the rest of your computer looks pretty great. Even if you decide to go with the 560 ti it'll still be a good computer.

Either wait for the 660Ti and get a 560Ti 448 core for cheap

or Wait for the 660Ti and buy it.

It's like, 5 days away.

That PSU is fine, what's its 80+ rating?

I think it's something to do with it being more efficient - Maybe it uses less energy? Didn't really pay attention to that part!

Thanks for the help guys, I didn't know that the 660 was coming out, I'll wait to see a price on that and send my 560 back if it's not much different!
Ended up spending an hour swapping components in my basket but I think that it's a decent enough config. Just ordered it with next day delivery.
The only thing I think I may have wasted money on is the additional cooler -the CPU comes with the basic Intel stock cooler, but I suppose it's useful for potential overclocking in the future! :)

Now to find a game a bit more demanding than Minecraft!

Yeah I have a gold 80+ PSU, I'm asking what that one's rated at :p

The intel cooler is good, the custom one will be better for your OC.

Ah sorry -Derp!. Long day at work.

Just says this for the PSU: "High efficiency operation up to 88% (80 Plus Silver)" I was a little concerned about the brand of the PSU as it's one I've not used before but the reviews are decent enough. Took delivery this morning so hopefully i can have this built after work :)
