I'm glad to see GW2 is making enough money to warrant promotion. It really is a great game, although clearly a few of the Blizzites and Game Design Messiahs are lurking in these forums to balance out all of us positive folk.

And yes, WoW is inferior to GW2.
nice you call all who disagree with you Blizzites like were lesser human beings that's just insulting most people i played gw2 with left. why its getting worse every single patch with is tarribad temp content or worse when it removes old content to replace it.
So? Everyone I know of that played WoW left it. Sure, some went back but most didn't. Anecdotal evidence is horseshit.
The rest of every single post of yours is pretty much your own opinion which you try to put as infallible truth.

Also, choose your adjectives carefully, since profanity is not acceptable.
What about the nouns? Can I still crush evil with my dick?

But yeah, I wasn't a huge fan of the original GW. And while a member of my household does play GW2, he's the one that got me into PoE instead. And I didn't have to give up anything (other games, vocabulary, etc) to play PoE.
I was thinking more along the lines of crushing it with my SR Dildo Bat. D:

OT: The only MMO I'm even intrigued with is ESO, since the beta peaked my curiosity a bit. Other than that, I have no damn time for these time sinks known as MMOs!

I would actually have kept playing guildwars 2 if
A. I could enter first person instead of either being stuck at a terrible sort of weird downwards angle staring at the back of my character who takes up 1/3rd of the screen at all times or zoomed so far out I can barely make out what the fuck is going on. Your Beautiful environments count for nothing if all I can do is look at the back of my own head all day.

B. If there was something to work for or strive towards, once you get to about level 20 you've pretty much advanced as far as you're going to advance combat wise and the only thing to work towards after that is arbitrary numbers made more arbitrary by the fact that they are scaled downwards or upwards to make sure they're never to far away from the other numbers. Seriously add some mounts or maybe a guild hall you can deck out or make it so you can use your vanity set in combat by doing something like WoW's transmogrification or something. (The Dyes, Professions, and achievements sort of do this but not much)
and
C. If the personal story didn't have a really weird level curve, I kind of hate that I do one mission where I beat up four assasins then the next mission to chase down those very same assasins to their hide out is two levels higher, it's really hard to follow a story when you have to punctuate it with three-four hours of roaming around looking for apples between every page.

These things all felt like pretty big game breakers to me at least.

Such eloquence, such poise. Thank you for showing me how wrong I was to have an opinion that I shared freely and without regret.
Clearly you are the superior person because you know how to display faux intellect. Sleep well tonight, sweet prince, for your mighty boot has crushed the imaginary strawmen beneath its heel, bigotry be praised.
There is no 'strawman' here because I made no argument. One thing you and all your self-righteous ilk seem to be ignoring here is that I made no 'argument', strawman or otherwise. I stated an opinion that people with inflated senses of self worth are constantly giving flak to GW2.

Now if you don't care for that opinion, fine, but that's your problem, not mine.

Yep. The same three haters justifying why they should be ignored. Moving on...
you know i'm glad like the game but look at the forums reddit and even in game your in the severe minority and fact anet only listens to people who romanticize their game is disgusting behavior that alone made me leave.
Funny, those forum "communities" are also why I can't play the game anymore. Not because the game isn't fun, but because playing it forces me to be directly associated with people like that: people who can never be happy no matter what they've been given, have absolutely no clue about game development yet make demands for it anyway, feel entitled to a virtual experience that replaces actually having a life because its easier than making one themselves, have no respect for anything but themselves, and couldn't hold a polite conversation to save their lives. Being lumped together with those "people" is something I simply cannot stomach. It's the same bullshit that World of Warcraft, EVE, etc., have suffered from for years, to their extreme detriment, and the main reason I (among many, many others) don't bother with MMOs anymore.

I hope you're happy with yourselves, and you can all go die in a very large fire for all I care.

There, I'm not ignoring you anymore. Is that better?

I'm Commander Shepard, and Guild Wars 2 is my favorite shallow grindy MMO with no content on the citadel!

This advertisement amused me. I like guild wars 2, I don't play it much these days but I think it's pretty nifty and this entertained me. Not sure why anyone should be embarrassed by the games they play at this point. You live in a world where the biggest summer releases involved comic book characters. We've won, it's okay to be nerdy. If you've got time to worry about what people think about you, you've got time to realize how silly it is to worry what others think.
