Hey!

I've been playing Guild Wars 2 during BWE1 and now during BWE2. It's all good and all, but there's one thing I can't figure out.

When using a skill a progress bar shows up (duration of the skill) that fills up. However, some skills have two different sizes of that bar, one small and one a lot bigger.

When the first "part" (small bar) has been filled, the big bar start filling up. When it's done it kind of "lights up" for half a second or so, kind of like other games would do if you hit the correct button during an ongoing skill. Or something, I don't know.

During BWE1 I asked Arena Net and got the answer to hold down the button for more power, but they were talking about some Warrior skill that I've never used. The "two sized bars" isn't only for Warriors but for most (if not all) classes.

So, any idea why some skills have two sizes of their duration bar-thingie?

I replied elsewhere but putting it here incase others need to see.

I have seen this two sized bar while using a frost bow (played as elementalist) specifically on the ability rapid fire. The ability goes from readying the bow to unleashing 5-6 shots. It appears that the thin part of the shanneling bar shows the set up time, and then the thick bar shows time that I am channeling damage.

Also as an FYI the NDA was lifted once the preorder beta weekends started.

*edit, as for the part where your channeling bar light up, I do not recall seeing that with my frost bow. I am not sure if that could be related to chaining abilities together or if it was just a graphical bug.
