THQ could have financed the game through quick starter or something. I worked for Double Fine. I really like THQ too bad they haven't made games alot of people bought recently.

Between this and the cancellation of At the Mountains of Madness movie, it seems that he won't be gracing anyone with his visions any time soon.

I was looking forward to Insane.. Innovative, seemed promising. Hope someone grabs it and delivers it right.

This sucks, I like THQ's games, and I was excited for Insane can't blame them though.

Why can't this sort of thing be happening to the companies I don't like?

Damn I was really interested in the game hopefully Del Toro does't give up and finds another publisher or maybe kickstart the game

Forgive my ignorance, but what are THQ's cash cows at this point? They've got Darksiders 2 coming. Then the WWE stuff. But beyond that I can't think of much else. Saints Row? What else?

That sucks. I was really looking forward to see what Del Toro could do with a game. Although I guess it makes sense that they would drop it. From what I heard about it I don't think it was ever going to be a big seller. Hopefully someone else will pick this up and publish it.

While this is incredibly disappointing news to me, I'm sort of hoping a lack of projects will eventualy force Del Toro to turn around and say "Fine! Here's your friggin' Hellboy 3!"

It's kinda their fault for releasing that atrocity SR3. Still horror and sandbox sounded interesting.

This sorta sucks. I can see why they would drop it from an economic standpoint. at least they gave the rights back to Del Toro, it may yet see the light of day.

GODFUCKINGDAMMIT!!!!

I was really looking forward to this one.
I guess another company is going to have to adopt it and finish it.

Getting halfway into development and cancelling the project doesn't seem like a good way to make money.

Someone really needs to explain the concept of 'sunk costs' to THQ. It would cost them way less to simply take these projects to completion at this point than it would to start something else from scratch.

Can someone PLEASE give Guillermo a break? First the Dark Corners of the Earth or Cthulu or whatever movie he was making falls through now this?
