So let's face it: everyone has their guilty pleasures, whether it be in music or movies or whatever else you like. (For example, I'll admit, I like one or two Attack! Attack! songs, even though they're quite awful)

But what about video games? Are there any games you love that others laugh at or say isn't as good as you think it is?

For example, I love the game Dark Sector, a game many people didn't like and my friends all hate.

Same with the old school Pokemon games for the old school Gameboy. Many people I know tell me how stupid they are, but I can't ever stop loving them.

So my question to all of you is this: what guilty pleasure games do you play even when everyone else hates on it? I'm interested to see what you all say =]

Sometimes, I play games in my missus' frilly knickers.

*ahem*

Sensibly: despite it being pretty poor and very daft, I do love a bit of Viking: Battle for Asgard. Also, I have loved since I was wee, still love and will always continue to love Jazz Jackrabbit 2.

Maplestory >.<

It started out as just a source of income, level up accounts, sell accounts, make lots of money... but after some time I realized I was actually having fun with it

Anyone who tries to make you feel guilty for liking old-school Pokemon should be slapped.

Twice.

That's the thing, though. I don't feel guilty for liking unpopular or panned games. I feel guilty for games that should, by all rights, be offensively wrong. Like Slave Maker or Sim Brothel. I enjoy every sonic game ever made. Except for the 2006 Sonic (or as I call it, Sonic 64).
Seriously, Sonic Adventure 2 was awesome, and the day stages of Sonic Unleashed were everything I've ever wanted in a 3d sonic game.

"Wet", its not even my type of game but I ended up liking it a lot for some reason, I also have a tendency to replay rpgs even though I've already passed them numerous times.

Spongebob games and I liked *Looks around* Kayne and Lynch.....don't hit me.
Kane and Lynch had it's gameplay flaws, but I for one consider the story of the game to more than make up for these flaws.

Kind of how Silent Hill 2 makes up for the flaws in controlls and combat with atmosphere and story.

I honestly have no guilty gaming pleasures at all.

My entire library consists of nothing but respected and artful man-games.

Nobody I knew liked Patapon outside maybe one or two people, but I loved it, it was the first rhythm game I liked, and is still the only one I like.

I admit i like grinding in quite a few games.

Games like Disgaea where you watch your character grow from level one and learn tons of abilities on the way. I'm surprised at how long i can go for before i get bored.
