What? How should I know you referred to 40K? Was there any context it sprung from that I missed?

I know what 40K is, after all. Though I prefer fantasy battles.
Well I did mention the year it takes place in and how grim and dark it is.

Games wise, my guilty pleasure is Peach. I'm a dude and I've always picked Princess Peach for Mario Kart since the beginning since her acceleration made her recover fast from all the shit being thrown around a typical Mario Kart game.

Since then, I've always caught flak for my love of Peach. I loved Super Princess Peach on the DS and she's one of my mains in Smash Bros (Kirby is my main).

Also, Mecha games. I have to play all of them and they're usually terrible.

Veronica Mars.

Girls love the show, too, and I get points for liking it among that audience, but among guys... not so much. It's not the deepest or most REAL or GRITTY kind of detective show, but I do like it's approach to High School life these days and how kids can be assholes and drink and have lots of sex- instead of other shows where those are still kind of taboo or only come out in a special episode.

But we're drifting off topic now, aren't we?

I got into Sonic the Hedgehog at thirteen. I'm nearly fifteen and I don't see me getting out of it any time soon. I can't help it; I love the games, and I have my own niche in the fanbase; the ones who write gritty Sonic fanfic.
Despite not being ten years old, I'm STILL upset about the direction Man of Action took Ben 10 in. Now we have boring, stupid series like Ben 10: Ultimate Alien and I really wish we could go back to the way it was. It probably won't happen, but even now, I'd watch it again. That stuff was just plain cool.
Red Dwarf is good. I know it's got a really big fanbase and liking it isn't that guilty, but my parents hate it. So for me particularly, it's a guilty pleasure.
Linkin Park is sort of a guilty pleasure, because of the stigma that goes with them. However, I see it as unfair. Linkin Park have gotten better since their very first CD and they don't deserve the stereotype they've been subject to.

Oh and Lady Gaga, but I don't think there's anything shameful about liking her. Or is there? I'm not cool enough to tell.
Yes. There is. There really really is.

OT: Limp Bizkit (its all about the he says she says bulllshit!) xD
Uhhm.
The X factor? Although I really 'love to hate it.' Its only genuinely good during the first bit where all the deluded people go on it.

Oooh yeah I quite like warhammer. That's definately one. Although not so much the game as the models and backstory... and the pictures in the codex books  *drool*

Music: I like a lot of female pop singers but i'm not really guilty about that, also Justin Bieber isn't that bad, I also listen to a lot of songs from a particular TV show so see below.
Movies: I've seen the movie Love Actually & it wasn't that bad.
TV: Phineas & Ferb & I don't care because it's a brilliant show, also Scooby-Doo & there are a few other TV shows but I know a couple of people on this site in real life.
Games: Pokemon, Mario, Zelda, Kirby, it's not exactly that i'm guilty of liking these but I generally don't tell the people at school that I play them.
Misc: I stil sleep with my favorite toy from when I was young which is a Pikachu.

But sure, if you aren't open with your friends about being an anime-watcher
Ahahahaha, the implied emphasis on 'anime-watcher' made me smile - this is exactly the reason it's in the guilty pleasures section of my life, to hyphenate the words into a branding, and put it into that sentence; you would think that we were talking about being a necrophiliac.

It's true, but I don't really understand why. I suppose part of the problem (if not the whole problem, a la naruto) is to do with the image it has.

And, more relevantly to this, I think a large portion of its social taboo-ness comes from the name itself. 'Anime', 'Ann-Ihm-A'. It sounds sort of...

I don't know. I suppose [sub](coming from a point of view that is not my own, but an interpretation of that of others')[/sub] gay.
There's just something about the French accent on the 'e' that really robs the word of any gravitas it might have once had.

It could just be me, again, of course, but there is a reason that people market things with choice words.

Ah... It matters little, these are just the mad musings of someone who's not quite thinking straight, and really is mentally asleep.

Death note is really good for making people understand that anime isn't just pokémon/cartoon porn.
I would think that Claymore would be better, but the reality is that even admitting watching anime is an invitation for pre judgement. I'm not particularly close to any of my friends, they are tools, I don't have a strong enough reason to expose something like a guilty pleasure to them.

In order to convince someone of anime's decency, you must first convince them to watch anime. I cannot be arsed to make that effort.

"Hahaha social dignity, i'm suprized I still have some left."
"Anime is my same secret no one knows about and never will, sometimes I get the beginning or ending theme song of one stuck in my head and hum it."
"Would sing it but its not in English!"

"Two of said songs did that..

*snip*

"Death note of course, when ever I hear this I want to punch toddlers."

*snip*

"From spice and wolf, this song makes me believe in true love." <3
I am such a deep, emotional man :/

"There are more... ALOT more so I just pick two."
I am a different person outside of my solitude, and have a façade of dignity - naturally the real me is completely lacking in the dignity (and indeed sanity) department, but depending on who I'm talking to I change.

That being said, I can't help but get some of those tunes stuck in my head:

(skip to about 1 min if you just want to hear the song (this particular vid isn't a good representation of claymore's awesomeness, the anime is much better than displayed.)

And ofc, like you, there are a lot more, I just had these to hand.

I was thinking about reading them. Are they worth it?

OT: I guess staying up late. Everything I do is much better when I think I should be asleep. As long as O have nothing to do the following day anyway.
Short answer: yes.

If you're interested in complex plots, incredibly well developed characters and an intelligence that keeps you working for your answers, read them.

Although, Claymore is worth a look too =D
"Wow there were soo many qoutes I can't tell who put those awesome videos up!"
"Please tell me, oh and murder princes and Air gear theme are both done by the same band called BACK ON, I know this because there on my playlist!" :D

Sometimes when I'm feeling particularly down, I like to watch Caramelldansen... V_V *blushes and hangs head in shame*
Here it is, if you dare...
I just can't watch the video without falling off my chair laughing... ^^

Other than that, I don't think I have any guilty pleasures.
I love that song (and I've checked out some of their other music as well)

OT: My guilty pleasures would probably be that I love to dance when I'm alone (and sing for that matter). I really enjoy playing games like Dance Dance Revolution and Harvest Moon...
Other than that, I'm pretty sure that people around me know that I watch MASSIVE amounts of Anime of all kinds.

Hair metal. I just like when the singers all harmonize and are backed up by an eletric guitar.

Porn is NOT something to feel guilty about. One of my guilty pleasures is one-upping people. I know that's a terrible douchebag behavior, and I really need to get over it.
