A relative from far away is sending me Guitar Hero: World Tour and Metroid Prime 3 for Christmas. I know from hearing what people have to say about Metroid Prime 3 that, it will be good. I have heard however that the drum cymbals in Guitar Hero: World Tour are unresponsive a lot. I would like to know from someone who has the game, if there is any truth to this rumor.

It's really only certain drums. I went over to my friends to play it and the cymbals worked fine. I actually had more trouble with the drum pads but maybe it was because I wasn't hit them in the center.

The drum cymbals work fine, you may think that they're not working, Ie: (you think your hitting it at the right time but your a split-second off) Other then that, GH:WT drum set has broken on me yet

It is true, though a minor case for me. The red pad was slightly unresponsive, but after some breaking in it's pretty much fixed. I heard Activision has a thing on the net to adjust the sensitivity issue of the drums, but never actually looked at it myself. I never needed it.

I've only had trouble with my cymbals occasionally, and even when I do it's only because I'm hitting too hard for too long.

My brother's drum kit broke. Red drum pad wasn't responding. There's a drum kit modifier on the internet, but you'll need a special cable to connect the drum kit to the computer. You'll get the cable for free from Red Octance, though.
