It annoys me when other girls say that about guys, and I'm a girl.
Guys can be annoying at times and act like total fuckwits, but I don't really think most of them mean to. It's just in their nature.

Personally, I'd rather hang out with a group of guys than girls, purely because girls can be even worse than guys and be totally stuck up.

Half the time a guy acts like this, it's usually the girl's fault anyway. Just gives them a BS reason to say it tbh.

Some guys out there don't even act like this. I know a few guys who are awesome and great friends of mine, and they don't act like this either.

Guys will be guys. My advice to other girls who think they're "fuckwits" or "assholes" or whatever else is to get over yourself and stop being such a child. It would be different if a guy said to you that you were such a *****, so why the fuck do you pick on guys instead?

It's just sexist really. That's all it is.

-Realises this turned more into a rant, apologises if this offends anyone.-

according to the female perspective, all guys ARE assholes. but to the male perspective all girls are batshit crazy, so why are we arguing?
that's cuz guys have been shown to respond to problems by trying to solve them first (can be considered asshole) and girls respond first with emotion (can be considered crazy)

Oh yes I have a friend like that, every time she updates her status I have to explain to her that some blokes aren't complete arseholes. Then further justifying it by saying that I am only an arsehole to 1 person some of the time to prevent his head from getting too far into the clouds that he is the first rocketless astronaut, btw he is actually grateful for it.

Wait, wait, back up for a second. There are actually girls that say that? I honestly have never encountered this, only guys claiming that girls think that.

Can't say I have met anyone like this, but I'm a terribly friendly person. They may be thinking it, but never say it to my face.

Depending on how much I like/dislike the girl in question and how annoyed I am at a given moment, my response can be anywhere from "those types of dicks are the reason I'm straight" to "You wouldn't have these problems if you weren't so fat."

And before you berate me for being outright rude, take into consideration how funny the same reply would be if it were a guy complaining about women:

Random Male: "Women are ASSHOLES!!!"
Me: "You wouldn't have these problems if you weren't so fat."

Are You A Certified Asshole? [http://electricpulp.com/guykawasaki/arse/]
My score 11:
"5 to 15 ?True?: You sound like a borderline certified asshole, perhaps the time has come to start changing your behavior before it gets worse."

So I am becoming an asshole too? Perhaps.

But yeah. Sometimes it really bugs me, because it seems to be like an offence to all man on earth, although like OP said it is not probably what they mean. Usually I think something like "You don't know me B*! Even if I am an asshole you don't know me" especially when I hear it indirectly and when it is pointed to someone else.

From my experience it usually follows a break-up, that causes girls to say that.
Just because one guy was an ass, now all are... I never got that logic.

Only a man would start a thread like this...

Just kidding, in all seriousness I as a female can't stand women like that. I mean I understand that before and including fifty years ago women rallying for their rights was needed to bring about equal rights but now it seems like most "feminists" want women to have more rights than men.

[sub]bold sections where I fixed errors in my choice of words and phrasing for the benefit of jamesworkshop who kindly pointed them out to me[/sub]
i honestly have a problem with most "modern" femisists, cuz essentially what they're trying to do, is reverse how it was before women had rights, on men. so guys have none, and the women are unaccountable dicks with freedom to do w/e, and free rights to punish the shit outa guys for no real reason.

as a dude that's an asshole, a dude, and for actual equality, i'm all for things that are for improvement, and breaking gender walls, but seriously? shit like that, just don't fly with me, and i'm open about it to the point it's gotten into some very heated yelling matches. one of them was with the mom of one of my brother's friends :/ she's cool, and it blew over, but DAYEM yo! wtf!?

EDIT: before i forgot...

i know this isen't the view of alot of them, but it's the one they are always shoving into my face whenever i meet an actual femisits. along with tasteless, and baseless accusations of me, and my "male species" being "all sexist pigs" -_- they already have the laws where the punishment for man vs woman= man does bad to woman= 2x the punishment for vice versa. woman does bad on woman, same as man doing bad to man. if your a woman, your much more likeley to get the job even if your underqualified, and it's alot easier+faster for them to get a raise. now it's not always true on the job front, but unfortunately, i've lost potential jobs, and raises, for these exact reasons; because i'm not female. -_- seriously?

and yet the feminists with that bass-akwards, harsh view's want more, wtf? :/

Those who bet on certainties are certain to be disappointed. Its more that the majority of "women" or "girls" (depending on mental age) are just as shallow as they would label most guys, dating for look and not for personality, and thus are surprised when the pretty boys are pretty much ego-driven shitheads. I hear a lot of women I know say things like "I wish I could find a guy like you" back when I was single and all I could think was "I'm right here you blind *****."
They want to have their cake and eat it too.

I typically hear that from entitled women that spend their days chasing the kinds of men who can get away with being assholes (i.e. rich, powerful, attractive, influential, etc.). It'd be like if I spent my time exclusively chasing after Victoria's Secret models and then complained to the world that all women are frigid bitches that are too haughty for a tumble.

I don't mind it, it just lets me know never to be friends with or try and start a relationship with someone so thick skulled.

In all honestly, I've never encountered someone who has said this outside of the internet; and even then, only rarely.

When I do encounter them online, they are not aware of my gender, so I set about making friends with them; only for it to be revealed later on, that I am in fact male.

It's the least I can do, when I see individuals so full of hate, and whom have obviously had a rough time in life.

Surely some other escapists have run into girls like this. The ones who will make statements like "I wish we lived in a world where all guys werent complete fuckfaces". Even if they aren't necessarily (stereotypically) feminist, this just totally drives me insane. I don't want to say it's sexist, because I almost think they don't mean literally "all guys" when it's said, but it certainly comes out that way. Like if I said "I wish all women would stop being such dumb bitches", I'd probably be assaulted for it.

How much does this annoy others, if it does?
Just remember one thing: There is a difference between guys/boys and men.

Men are kind, caring, sentimental, and overall gentlemanly towards woman.

Guys are the douches that try to pick you up in a bar with their egos inflated. They don't care about feelings and yes, they are assholes.

So YES, all GUYS are assholes, but men are actually really nice.

everyone is a arse (NOT ASS!) apart from me :D

In my world i treat everyone equally to begin with regardless of position/race/sex and then you can work your up or down my list; and equally the responses will all be the same.

This is why i called my best friends girlfriend a ***** in front of him after she had been complaining about him not getting her a present as he was away for half a day. It may also be why i dont have a girlfriend.

reading this back to myself i will change the first bit of my post to
everyone is a arse (NOT ASS!) EVEN me :D
