No. when i go to a store, i already know what i will buy before i enter through the door. i go in, buy it, leave. if she wants to stay and look ridiculous she can do it alone.

Clothes stores HELL NO.

Films, music, games etc is alright.

The best part of the day is usually when we end up making a date of it instead, going to a pub for some nice food or to the cinema etc.

I wouldn't say my boyfriend "enjoys" going clothes shopping with me, but I don't enjoy clothes shopping either. I don't like to spend hours looking at clothes, I skip trying on clothes whenever possible, and I get out of there as quickly as I can. So he certainly doesn't mind coming with me, and a lot of times he'll pick out clothes for me to try because he wants to see how I look in them. They're usually things I wouldn't even consider for myself, but end up liking them. So we do enjoy spending time together outside of the apartment, but neither of us actually enjoy shopping for clothes.

When I had a girlfriend, I liked to go shopping with her. She made it fun. Plus, she would come out and model all the outfits she was trying on for me, which made it even better. Some of the most enjoyable memories I have are when the two of us went shopping.

Well, a quick trip to Target, Walmart, or Best Buy? No, because I get to look at stuff I like too. However, my girlfriend understands that taking me along for one of 'her' shopping trips is not a good idea and is not going to happen.

Poll choices are:
"No"
"Hell No"
"I don't know I've never done it"
"It's okay but she never wants to buy anything from Game Stop"
"Yes, because I like picking out her g-strings and bondage equipment."

Seriously, I've never been with anybody for whom that sort of thing was an issue, so if I ever did go shopping with them it was probably brief and unmemorable.

However, if she makes a habit of doing something you obviously find dreary, that would be a cause for concern. Make sure there is at least some tit-for-tat.

It seems to be an exception but I do like it; just make sure you go shopping together instead of literally dragging along, visit stores you both like. Mind you, I do have a knack for finding nice clothes, so girls tend to let me lead them instead of the other way round.

I like making my girlfriend feel special, I like being with her. While I would prefer to stay at home and relax, if asked I'd go shopping with her. I also mentally prepare responses to any questions she may ask.

I always felt odd going shopping with my girlfriend... when we were together that is. Why? She has to wear a mask, a full face-covering one as well unless it's pissing it down or very overcast. We did it a couple times one summer and the number of behind-the-back comments and dodgy looks we got made us think... we're not doing this again.

So we always did our shopping on a Saturday evening... and in central London? You've got to be kidding me. Sure, I enjoyed being out and with her while she 'looked' at things, but I already knew her taste in clothes and she knew I don't deal well with crowds so we always had a tacit understanding.

Anyway, girls who end up with me invariably have to tolerate me trying on a plethora of long coats and frock coats and admiring myself (however subtly), once we arrive at a shop that sells them (which is unfortunately rare, these days).

A few years back if you went shopping with your wife/girlfriend/fiance/partner there was a little secret club outside of the shops.

If you looked up and down the street you'd see blokes outside of nearly all the shops having a smoke and chatting away while their women/partners were shopping.

It seems to have died out now with the growth of big shopping centres.

However.

Some of those shopping centres have bars in them so some blokes/women tend to gather in them for a beer while their other halves are shopping.

I hate shopping with my missus, she hates taking me shopping. I get impatient and snappy with random people.

Especially in supermarkets.

Muppets that park their trolleys in the middle of an aisle while they stop for a chat. Bastards. I have a habit of shouting at them.

She doesn't take me shopping anymore. She banned me from going shopping ....... I cheered.

As i type this ( on my iphone) i am at the shopping mall waiting on me girlfriend who is trying on clothes , and i am BORED out of my mind . While i sit outside the store i see 5 guys around me doing the same ,waiting. So my question is , do you Enjoy going shopping with your girlfriend. If not do you think anyone does? I only agree to go shopping with my gf because it makes her happy ,so i grit my teeth and bare it even though i rather be doing anything else. Does this happen to anyone else here on te escapists? Do you you enjoy going shopping WITH you girlfriend? Is there anyway to make this enjoyable?
Buy a nerf gun and set up makeshift targets, bring her a pile of comically unfashionable clothes to try on while she's in the dressing room, put on a gay accent and pretend to be her stylist, leave anti-consumerism anti-sweatshop-exploitation leaflets around, if she's the fussy slow type bring her to a game store and study the boxes intently while making petty comments about the aesthetics until she starts getting impatient...

I've no girlfriend, but I can say I'd probably enjoy it. I'm one of those people who likes to look at everything before they buy something, that way I get the best I can get out of a collection..

I enjoy shopping in general (the looking for nice stuff, and the trying it on to see how it looks.) With another person, it becomes awesome, and with a girlfriend, it's god-tier.

I like it because my girlfriend tries on attractive clothing. Nothing wrong with it.

When I go shopping with her, it's rarely ever the only thing we're doing, so it makes it more bearable.

HELL. NO.

Whenever I go shopping, I tend to go for a specific thing. For example, I need a pair of jeans for work. That's what I'm here for, and that's what I'm getting.
This, though the significant one being the times I'm forced along with my mom/sister. Their endless messing around drives me up the wall and I complain about boredom, which usually makes the experience miserable for everyone. Nope, she doesn't force me to tag along often.

I like shopping with girls.

The key is that there has to be a time limit. If she just takes too long, then it becomes unbarable.
