Has anyone heard of this?
Do you believe it or that the U.S is capable of producing such a facility

This is another report on HAARP with interviews with conspiracy theorists and a U.S. government scientist associated with it:

Damnit, I hoped this was about Project HARP and Project Babylon. Then I would have said the name "Project Babylon" for a supergun project is like totally from a movie.

Though death rays are fine by me too. But I think it's unlikely that there would be technology like that yet.

I don't get what you want, if you tell us what it is then we know what it is, therefore you don't have a topic.

I don't get how this is odd.

Ok, I'm not sure what exacly is the point of this project, but its uneffical! They are talking about manipulating the defencive layer what allows us to live on this Earth! Not to benefit and help it, but to weaponise it!? The last thing we need is weather domination or to heat the planet!? I might be wrong, but so far its just wrong. Can someone please explain to me how this can be used for a noble purpose?

Oh, good, a conspiracy theory thread. It's the Russian Woodpecker, only in Alaska! No, wait, it's a side-project for the Orbital Jewish Mind-Control Satellite Overlords! It makes the clouds rain ice cream and can melt kittens from a thousand miles away! Run! Hide!

There's a lot of stupid floating around out there about the HAARP. It's a research tool with one or two potential defense applications- which are incredibly mundane and boring.

LARP? [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LARP]

Do you believe it or that the U.S is capable of producing such a facility
Is that a "Would it be scientifically possible?" question, in which case, I have no idea. Maybe? If it's an ethics question then simply "yes".

Yeah, stop me if I sound a bit like a crazy person, but isn't blowing a hole in the Ionosphere a BAD thing... no matter WHERE you are on the planet?

It doesn't "blow a hole in the ionosphere." To be blunt, that's stupid. There are quite a few equally stupid statements in that first video, most of which jump right out at anyone with an RF background.

As for "Do you believe it or that the U.S is capable of producing such a facility," the answer is pretty clear. The facility was built over a decade ago and has seen various levels of activity ever since. If you mean "a facility for blowing holes in the ionosphere" or something equally far fetched, I'd say... No, not right now, at any rate. The technology doesn't exist.

There, I'm done. Perhaps now we can talk about how the Apollo landings were faked, or how there's a secret Nazi UFO base under Antarctica.

I do believe in climatic weapons since there's an internacional law voted in europe in 1977 that states the non creation of climatic weaponry, on an internacional level, so that means that in a nacional level each government can fuck up their own country...

the best way to keep humans servile enough, is to keep them afraid.

also, when in doubt check out the sky, if you see something that looks like a boreal aurora, GTFO!! since in China it was recorded by amateurs and also in Chile there's numerous reports of "strange rainbows in the sky"

I kept listening until the guy mentioned that it could be used for mind control of large populations. Then I laughed and turned it off.

This is not STALKER, it's not going to create The Zone.

As for Haarp: As research facilities go it is quite sad. For one it isn't a top secret facility with walls and walls filled with aliens in jars! If you don't have aliens in jars you can't do evil-overlord level weapon of mass destruction plots. It is in the rules.

No seriously, the facility is a joke when it comes to conspiracy level events. Oh sure, we the non-scientific minds would question the wisdom in messing with the bubble around us that keeps everyone... you know... breathing. Yet that isn't anything new, it is par and parcel for scientists to mess with things that could destroy us at any given moment... I'm watching you LHC. Maybe they will burn a hole into the world one day but it isn't going to be more then a 'oops' moment I am sure.

For it to reach conspiracy levels they need to put it underground, maybe stick a 'water treatment' facility on top of it and get jars full of aliens for the walls. Just messing with the laws of physics doesn't cut it any more.
