Before you read, im not gonna say how much "I" like the game.

Story:
The story of the .hack//GU series is actually quiet original. You play as a character named Haseo and you try to find and kill a PKK named Tri-Edge, however the stroy grows into an alot more complicated story. Along with the great story comes many twists and literally no plot holes. For the story, I would give it a perfect score.

Gameplay:
The gameplay was great, but like many J-RPG's obviously you wont be able to jump. Fighting is really fun and in depth and even after the main story in the 3 games there is still plenty to do so you wont get bored. As you progress through the game story game play value increases ,Haseo will get stringer and you will get acces to new weapons that are fully customizable. Again, perfect score for Gameplay

Characters:
Some characters didnt do well with me as well as my friends, some of the charcters are quiet clever and have different personalities that reflect on their physical attributes, for example, a girl in the game named Atoli likes animals and to enjoy the things going on around them, but this gets on Haseo's nerves. Kuhn is another example, Kuhn kinda plays the flirtatious guy role. However some charcters are really annoying and strange, so i give the chracters an 8 2/3 out of 10

This was a really great game and its worth to be givin a chance.
I think that even if you don't like J-RPG's, you will still talk highly of this game.

so score would be a 9 4/5's out of 10

for me its an 11 out of 10

try it, you wont regret it
tel me what you think

Um... I love almost all things .Hack related, so I loved .Hack G.U.
It took all the things I hated about the original .Hack series (boring combat, flow-breaking dungeons, nothing to do outside the main storyline) and fixed them- combat is engaging, dungeons flow smoothly from room to room, and there are several sidequests that are just too much fun. Definitely an 11 out of 10 for me as well.

This is like the 4th thread on this you've made, every single one has got like 3 replies, we get it you like it. A lot of people seem not to or havent heard of this game.
well, the point is to start getting more people to play it, if this happens who knows what amazing things could happen, and Im so sick of talking about .hack//GU and getting a blank stare

Well they are finishing the .hack series with .hack link (a PSP fighter believe) - how about you wait until its released. Fact is the majority of people aren't going to play an old JRPG because someone writes a review on an internet forum about it...

personally i prefer the original .hack parts 1-4 over G.U. but both are outstanding and have a strange allure to them

dont get me wrong, the first 4 were definently great and the fields had a better layout, but i think .hack//GU is better, they are both great though

Some things you gotta know about the animes, the 2 main ones are .hack//Roots and .hack//SIGN all others are spin-offs, and .hack//SIGN's story has more holes than a Russian Hooker

...how did you get to that?

I just thought of one of the reasons I liked one of the hacks,
one of them had an episode were the main character was checking out his sister, ha incest
