I lost my MSN account a couple of days ago and i went to play on my xbox. I go to sign in and it says i have to recover gamertag. So i enter my email and my password and nothing happened so i tried my mothers. Nothing happened there. I don't know if i can recover the gamertag.
Can anybody shed some light on this?

I do believe your Hotmail account is tied to your XBOX live account due to both being Microsoft. Bad luck mate. Change your password frequently next time.

Well, you use your MSN account to log into XBL. If you lost the first one, you lost the second one as well.

Unless you tell me what "lost" means, I have no earthly clue what you can do apart from calling Microsoft tech support.

Anyone explain the above
(the not valid bit)
It sounds like whoever has stolen your accounts has changed the name of your Mum's account to make it less traceable.

If you had any credit card details stored on any of those accounts, or if you've ever used a credit card to buy anything on those accounts, you should cancel them or contact your bank and stop all payments to Microsoft.

The hackers are probably going to load up those accounts with as many Microsoft Points they can buy with your Mum's credit card, then sell the accounts on E-Bay.

Scratch that, i talked to xbox live customer services. They will have given me a link to reset my password for my xbox live account so i can sign in.
