Playing any Call of Duty game other than Black Ops (although it soon will join the ranks of the other CODs) really makes you appreciate dedicated servers and moderators. I'm talking about hackers in the multiplayer, the asshats who have god-mode, no-clip, rate-of-fire cranked to 11 with stupid flashy gamertags. I make it a point to report everyone of these guys/gals I have the "pleasure" of meeting, but recently it's been taking up too much time per game. I'm sitting there for half a minute having to report 1-4 people and the only fuzzy feeling I get from it is the thought that the one's with higher gamerscores will suffer more if they get banned.
So how do you guys deal with hackers on the old games you love? I know that reporting them and not talking/verbally assaulting them is the best way, but there are other ways right?
Also, what is the worst story of hackers ruining a game that you have? And what is the funniest? Also, if your a hacker, why do you do it and how do we deal with someone like you if you don't mind telling? For me the worst would have to be when I was playing COD: WAW recently and decided to play free-for-all, unfortunatly 3/8 of the players were hackers, one jumped around the map and burned us with a flame thrower, the other sprayed with his Russian SMG with no clip and the other just went around knifing us all, after reporting them all I try to play the game as normal as possible. I only managed one kill before getting fed up with that bullshit and leaving, luckily I was the host, so I cut their "fun" short.
Another story I have is with most of the same group on the previous game. After reporting them all and playing as usually I get trapped in a room with one of the hackers, I put 3 rounds of double barrel shotgun slugs into him, knife him twice and taunt his crap aim all while he flails aroung trying to kill me. Eventually a level 2 tossed a grenade in killing me, so the bastard didn't even get a kill, I then go on to say "No wonder you need to hack, you couldn't get a kill otherwise!" That was spoiled by the events of the next game as I've told you. But enough of my bitching, let's hear yours.
